At Tranquility Chiropractic Studio, we use passive and active forms of stretching. Static stretching means the therapist is doing the stretch for you. Active stretching means you are actively participating in the stretch. The form on stretching we use in our clinic is called Proprioceptive Neruomuscular Facilitation (PNF) stretching that is an alternation of passive stretching and isometric contraction of the muscle. It’s very effective.
At any rate, you will find that stretching will help you recover more quickly!
